I’m Ellis “Wellz” Weller, a brand film specialist, cinematographer, and director based near London. I create scroll-stopping visuals and build distinct visual worlds for brands, with a strong creative focus on fashion-led projects that also translate across commercial, lifestyle, and cultural work. With over five years of experience shooting, I’ve been full-time freelance since 2025 and had the privilege of learning on large-scale productions with Cash App RB, Overfinch, Hyundai, and Jaguar Land Rover through an educational placement at Calvert Studios. My work has been featured in Eyescape Magazine and exhibited at North Herts Museum. Select collaborations include Amir Uddin for Moschino, Bedford-based AYMSK, and London brands Motor*city and Taiino.
Video is the work I’m truly obsessed with. I create visuals that connect deeply with a brand’s identity, turning concepts into striking, results-driven work. All of my projects are professionally produced on my Canon R5C cinema camera, capable of up to 8K RAW, while I’m also fluent with Sony, Lumix, and Blackmagic systems when required.I bring a rare combination of deep technical knowledge and strong aesthetic sensibility, with experience across multiple mediums, from flying FPV drones to shooting Super 8 film and nearly everything in between. If there’s something to learn, chances are I’m either researching it or learning it right now.Let's make something special...
Photography is the medium I started with over five years ago. I still shoot every day, though I’ve recently shifted my focus more heavily toward video, aiming to specialise and master it. That said, photography is far from off the table, I still love creating images.Technically, one of the reasons I chose the Canon R5C as my cinema camera is its exceptionally capable 45MP sensor, which outperforms cameras like the FX3's photo mode. I also shoot, develop, and scan 35mm film, and I maintain an extensive personal collection of vintage cameras and serviced lenses.I approach photography with the same technical obsession and aesthetic sensibility as my video work. If there’s a technique or format to explore, chances are I’m already researching or experimenting with it.
The edit is where everything comes together. I’ve been editing for as long as I’ve been shooting. I’m confident across Photoshop, Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, and Logic Pro X for sound design, having previously taken music production seriously before focusing on brand films. I can handle thumbnails, basic graphic design, colour grading, and most importantly, editing your projects, whether they were shot by me or not.
